The Cisco Digital Media Encoder 1000 is a portable encoder designed for both professionals and novices, the encoder features push-button control access to predefined Windows Media and MPEG-4/H.264 encoder profiles. The encoder's rugged design and light weight make it ideal for extending webcasts outside the studio to outdoor venues, classrooms, and conference rooms.

Cisco Digital Media Encoder 1000 features include:

• Lightweight, single channel
• Extension of webcasting "outside the studio"
• Encoding of video live onto an iPod or live network distribution
• Local management; or remote management through the Cisco Digital Media Manager
