The Cisco® SFS 7008 InfiniBand Server Switch provides a new class of data center infrastructure that interconnects discreet server resources together into a high-performance 10 Gbps, low-latency fabric. The Cisco SFS 7008 provides 96 ports of 10-Gbps server connectivity and a director-class platform designed with best-in-class reliability, high availability, and serviceability.
The Cisco SFS 7008 offers the resiliency, security, and control required for high-performance and utility computing. When combined with Cisco SFS 3000 Series multifabric server switches, the Cisco SFS 7008 facilitates shared pools of I/O resources that can be mapped together by Cisco VFrame Server Fabric Virtualization Software to deliver virtual "compute services."
