Product Description
Versatile Platform
The Cisco ICS 7750 is a chassis system with six universal slots, each accepting one of the following cards—a multiservice route processor (MRP) or system processing engine (SPE)—to address the widest range of data and voice connectivity and application needs.
MRP—The MRP cards are multiservice router/voice gateway cards running industry-proven Cisco hardware and Cisco IOS Software to support both digital and analog voice trunk gateways and WAN interfaces—all on a single modular card. The MRP offers a wide selection of data and voice interfaces, allowing businesses to match bandwidth to the needs of each site as they grow. This also enables businesses to take advantage of all existing Cisco IOS services such as VLAN routing, virtual private network (VPN), firewall and IP Security (IPSec), WAN QoS, and voice codec transcoding to ensure quality voice and data transmission. In addition, proven Cisco voice trunk and station interface cards make it easy to link the Cisco ICS 7750 to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and existing private branch exchanges (PBXs), as well as the most common analog devices (including fax machines and teleconferencing stations). MRP cards accept many of the existing Cisco voice interface cards (VICs) and WAN interface cards (WICs).
•
MRP300—Each MRP300 card has two VIC/WIC slots that accept many of the existing Cisco VICs and WICs. In addition, a hardware VPN accelerator module is an option to service additional VPN throughput for remote access users. This card provides the most flexibility to meet and adapt to the voice and data connectivity needs your business requires.
•
MRP3-8FXOM1—The MRP3-8FX0M1 card supports multiple foreign exchange office (FXO) ports to provide high-density connectivity to analog loop start and ground start trunk lines to the PSTN. The MRP3-8FXOM1 card has eight FXO-M1 ports built in and one VIC/WIC slot to support different voice gateway and IP routing configurations, as well as VLAN routing on a single card. Each FXO-M1 port supports battery reversal detection and Caller ID for N. America.
•
MRP3-xFXS—The MRP3-8FXS and MRP3-16FXS (previous models called ASI81 and ASI160) cards support multiple foreign exchange station (FXS) ports to provide high-density connectivity to analog phones, fax machines, and teleconferencing stations. The MRP3-8FXS card has eight FXS ports built in and one VIC/WIC slot to support different voice gateway and IP routing configurations. The MRP3-16FXS card offers 16 FXS ports in a single slot.
SPE—The SPE is an applications server card that can run Cisco CallManager and core voice applications like voice mail, auto attendant, interactive voice response (IVR), unified messaging, automated call distribution (ACD), and Web-based contact center applications. This card offers an additional level of expandability to cover a broad range of communications applications.
Since the six slots on the Cisco ICS 7750 can house any combination of MRP and SPE cards, customers have the freedom of expandability to configure the exact system that suits their business requirements, including redundant WAN and call-processing services. The versatile Cisco ICS 7750 puts businesses in control of their data and voice communication needs now and in the future.
Scalable Networked System
The Cisco ICS 7750 continues to grow with your business needs. The networked system architecture enables ICS solutions to scale to meet changing WAN bandwidth requirements, analog and digital voice gateway combinations, voice application needs, redundant call-processing configurations, and increasing IP phone capacity.
Each Cisco ICS 7750 chassis includes a system switch processor (SSP) card that provides an internal full duplex 10/100BASE-T backplane for card communication within the chassis, as well as two external full duplex 10/100BASE-T Ethernet ports. The two external ports on SSP interface seamlessly with any recommended Cisco Catalyst switching configuration to form a single switched communication network that delivers end-to-end connectivity and scalability.
The Cisco ICS networked system solution delivers a scalable approach to manage growth and expansion in capacity and functionality.
