Advanced TelePresence Applications
March 29, 2013
The Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) simplifies session management and control of telepresence conferences. It provides flexible and extensible conferencing applications. This helps organizations boost employee productivity and enhance communication with partners and customers.
The Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (Cisco VCS) can be configured to support device authentication using either:
- An on-box local database of usernames and passwords
- Real time access using LDAP to an external database which has an H.350
- Real time access to an Active Directory server using a Kerberos connection
This Cisco TelePresence Deployment Guide - Cisco VCS X6.1 describes how to configure the various methods of device authentication in Cisco VCS. It also shows how to configure the connections to the underlying authentication databases where applicable.
