The CiscoWorks Voice Health Monitor (VHM) is a management application that helps ensure the manageability of converged networks that are supporting VoIP and IP telephony traffic and applications.
As the capabilities and dependencies of converged voice and data networks continue to grow, effective infrastructure management is imperative. Leveraging open, Internet standards and the inherent capabilities of Cisco Systems devices, VHM enables network managers to effectively manage their converged networks while maintaining a high confidence that their IP telephony environments are performing as expected.
VHM monitors the health of a Cisco IP telephony environment by proactively monitoring Cisco voice elements in the network to alert operations personnel to potential problems and helps to minimize telephony network downtime.
