The Cisco VSA features hardware acceleration for:

  • Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)128, 192 and 256-bit key sizes
  • Data Encryption Standard (DES)
  • Triple DES (3DES)
It fits into the I/O controller slot on the Cisco 7204VXR or 7206VXR Router chassis, conserving valuable bandwidth points for other port adapters.
