Introduction
This document describes how to change the IP address on Cisco Interaction Manager (CIM) Version 9.
How do you change the IP address on CIM Version 9?
The CIM application usually maps the servers with their hostnames, not the IP addresses. In order to discover the hostnames provided to the various servers, you can query the egpl_dsm_host.
If the IP address is changed and the hostname is not changed, then there is no need to make changes on the application. In this case, a simple restart of services is needed.
If the IP address (instead of the hostname) was provided to the database (DB) reference in the CIM installation process, the IP change is not straight-forward. In order to check if this is the case, use the egpl_dsm_host table on eGMasterDB. If the IP address was provided instead of the hostname, you must manually update the required tables on the DB and egpl_ds_connpool_map.xml with the hostname of the Database server.
