An entry-level member of the Cisco Integrated Services Router Generation 2 (ISR G2) family, the Cisco 866VAE Integrated Services Router offers connectivity to teleworkers and small branches. This ISR offers the flexibility to be deployed on any one of the following WAN options:

• Gigabit Ethernet (GE)
• Asymmetric DSL (ADSL2+) over ISDN
• Very high-bit-rate DSL (VDSL2) over ISDN

The Cisco 866VAE comes in two models:

• Base router for a basic IP connectivity solution
• Highly secure router for advanced security and quality-of-service (QoS) applications
