End of Sales: Cisco 7576 Router
Introduction
Cisco Systems is announcing the end of sale (EOS) for the Cisco 7576 Router. This change affects only the Cisco 7576 Router chassis; other Cisco 7500 Series Router products are not affected. The Cisco 7576 Router will be orderable until September 5, 2001.

Substitue Products
Customers looking for a 13 slot chassis may purchase the Cisco 7513 Router with the appropriate spare power supplies, Route Switch Processors (RSP) and Versatile Interface Processors (VIP). Note: The Cisco 7513 Router has 2 CyBus instead of 4 CyBus and does not offer the same aggregate performance and port density of the Cisco 7576 Router. Customers looking for high density aggregation of DS1/T1/E1 may purchase the Cisco 10000 ESR.
Support Programs
End of sales refers to the time when certain products are no longer available for new purchases. It does not apply to the service and support programs for those products. Cisco will continue to support the Cisco 7576 Router after EOS through the SMARTnet and Comprehensive Maintenance programs. Customers with either of these service contracts are entitled to free software updates, 24-hour phone support through the Technical Assistance Center, and advance replaced hardware for repairs. Comprehensive Maintenance customers also receive onsite service. Customers who do not have a maintenance contract can purchase software updates and hardware repair services from Cisco to meet specific requirements rather than full-service coverage. Cisco is committed to providing software support for a minimum of three years and providing hardware support for a period of five years after the EOS date. Appendix A has a complete list of various dates associated with the end-of-life process.
