The Cisco ONS 15530 is a highly scalable metro DWDM multiservice aggregation platform that integrates data networking, storage, and legacy applications over an intelligent metro optical network. With an industry-leading 8 ports of Fibre Channel / FICON / Gigabit Ethernet or 40 ports of ESCON per 10 Gbps wavelength and multiservice support of SONET/SDH, and other protocols, the Cisco ONS 15530 is well positioned to maximize the carrying capacity of dark fiber. Whether used point-to-point, on the same ring as the ONS 15540, or as a aggregation shelf into an existing ONS 15540 network, the ONS 15530 strengthens the ONS 155xx solution with high-density service aggregation for both Enterprise and managed service provider customers. The Cisco ONS 15530 provides flexible, scalable, and highly-available optical networking for high-performance, bandwidth-intensive networking applications.
