Cisco Video Surveillance Virtual Matrix Software

Cisco Physical Security solutions provide broad capabilities in video surveillance, IP cameras, electronic access control, and groundbreaking technology that converges voice, data, and physical security in one modular platform. Cisco Physical Security solutions enable customers to use the IP network as an open platform to build more collaborative and integrated physical security systems while preserving their existing investments in analog-based technology. As a component of the Cisco® Video Surveillance Manager solution, Cisco Video Surveillance Virtual Matrix software allows authorized security managers and operators to select and control video displayed on any number of local and remote digital monitors. The software also permits integrated security applications to control video displays.

Cisco Video Surveillance Virtual Matrix software uses the IP network to provide aggregation and transmission of video from cameras and recording platforms much like the function of a classic analog video matrix switch, offering capabilities that analog switches cannot deliver. The Virtual Matrix brings complete flexibility in delivering live and recorded video to demanding command centers, providing access to network video for 24x7 monitoring applications. Operators can choose from available cameras to be displayed on system monitors within configurable video display patterns. The Virtual Matrix is easily integrated with other systems to automatically display video in response to user-defined event triggers.
