End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the CiscoWorks Network Compliance Manager 1.7 and 1.8

Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the CiscoWorks Network Compliance Manager 1.7 and 1.8. The last day to order the affected product(s) is March 15, 2013. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available under the terms and conditions of customers' service contract.

The following migration options are available for customers of CiscoWorks Network Compliance Manager:
(1) Migrate to Cisco Prime Infrastructure. Cisco Prime Infrastructure covers much of the functionality provided by CiscoWorks NCM, such as configuration and compliance management, and extends to full device lifecycle management, including event management, health and performance monitoring, assurance, and troubleshooting. A detailed mapping between CiscoWorks NCM and Prime Infrastructure features is available upon request to help you determine if Prime Infrastructure is a suitable replacement product. Discounted pricing is available for CiscoWorks NCM customers to migrate to Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

(2) Migrate to HP Network Automation. CiscoWorks NCM is a Cisco branded version of HP's Network Automation product. HP has a program available for CiscoWorks NCM customers to migrate to Network Automation. The program includes discounted pricing and a utility to migrate a CiscoWorks NCM server to HP Network Automation. For information on this program contact your local HP sales representative or send a request to ask-ncm-pm@cisco.com.
(3) Use Cisco Network Optimization Service (NOS). Cisco Services offerings can be an alternative to or complement a traditional customer-owned and customer-managed network management solution. One such service to consider is NOS, which provides a proven methodology via service delivery strategies (process), access to Cisco experts (people), and intellectual capital (knowledge) to ensure your network is positioned to meet your existing and future needs.
