Instant Inventory and Product Lifecycle Management
Discovering networking devices and proactively addressing product lifecycle events are two tasks that have historically been time-consuming and error prone. With the Cisco OnPlus™ Service, you can address these challenges instantly and confidently.
Cisco OnPlus is a cloud-based service hosted by Cisco to help network administrators and IT solution providers remotely monitor, manage, and maintain small to medium-sized networks (1000 users or less). There are two ways to use OnPlus for discovery and lifecycle management. The Cisco OnPlus Scanner can instantly provide an inventory of the network by discovering and reporting on Cisco® network devices or the Cisco OnPlus ON100 Network Agent - a small, dedicated appliance - enables users to proactively monitor, manage, and maintain networks. More information regarding using the OnPlus Service with the OnPlus ON100 Network Agent can be found at www.cisco.com/go/onplus.
Cisco OnPlus Scanner
The Cisco OnPlus Scanner, available at no cost, provides access to the OnPlus Service. By simply logging in to the OnPlus web portal, the user is able to scan the local network and discover Cisco devices, build a comprehensive inventory list, and then upload that data to OnPlus. There is nothing to buy or install, and the scanner can be accessed from any site with Internet connectivity. Once the data has been uploaded, OnPlus offers Cisco lifecycle management. Users receive product details, such as end-of-life hardware and software notifications, field notices, product security advisories, and product warranty status. Depending on your entitlement status, Cisco OnPlus Scanner can also provide information on service contracts.
By receiving notification of pending or past events, IT administrators and IT solution providers can better maintain the small and medium-sized networks they support.
