The high-density packet voice feature card (AS5X-FC) and DSP module (AS5X-PVDM2-64) available for the Cisco AS5400XM Universal Gateway enable higher-density configurations (up to 1 Channelized T3 [CT3] of voice over IP [VoIP]) and world-class performance for intelligent packet voice services. The Cisco AS5400XM Universal Gateway can meet service provider and enterprise session-border-controller (SBC) requirements through support for the Cisco Multiservice IP-to-IP Gateway, an integrated Cisco IOS® Software application that facilitates simple and cost-effective connectivity between independent VoIP and video networks. The Cisco AS5400XM Universal Gateway also supports existing Cisco AS5400HPX PSTN trunk termination and universal port DSP feature cards in a more powerful chassis to help ensure continuing network investment protection.
