L0Cisco IOS Release 15.0(1)M integrates a portfolio of over 2000 key capabilities that span multiple technology areas, including security, voice, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), IP services, and embedded management. Key highlights of Cisco IOS Release 15.0(1)M include the following:
•
Feature inheritance from Cisco IOS Releases 12.4T and 12.4 Mainline.
•
An extended maintenance release (44 months of support) that allows customers to qualify/deploy/remain on the release longer with active bug fix support.
•
Rebuilds of Cisco IOS Release 15.0(1)M.
•
Cisco IOS Release 15.0M (extended maintenance) releases that deliver incremental new features and hardware support (in addition to supporting features and hardware previously delivered) every 20 months.
Note
AppleTalk Phase I and II and Service Selection Gateway (SSG) features are not supported in Cisco IOS Release 15.0(1)M and later releases. In addition, several Cisco hardware platforms ended support on Cisco IOS Release 12.4(15)T and Cisco IOS Release 12.4 Mainline. These platforms will not be supported in Cisco IOS Release 15.0(1)M and later releases. See the following bulletin for more information:

Determining Your Software Version
To determine the version of Cisco IOS software that is currently running on your Cisco network device, log in to the device and enter the show version EXEC command:

Cisco Feature Navigator is a web-based tool that enables you to determine which Cisco IOS software images support a specific set of features and which features are supported in a specific Cisco IOS image. You can search by feature or by feature set (software image).
