Our two companies, along with Panduit and in cooperation with standards organization ODVA, founded Industrial IP Advantage, an online community where best practices around the open industrial Ethernet standard, EtherNet/IP^™, can be shared.
• Collaboration on reference architectures: Detailed design and implementation guides for a converged network architecture. Together, we have developed the Converged Plantwide Ethernet (CPwE) Design and Implementation Guide, which provides best practices and prescriptive information for industrial automation networks.
• People and process optimization: Developing process and design guidelines, facilitating training, and fostering dialogue between IT and manufacturing.
• Joint product development: Development of an industrial Ethernet switch that incorporates technologies from both companies to better meet industrial-automation needs.
