Cisco IoE Innovation Centre, Australia helps organisations improve business outcomes by helping to create, test, and validate solutions.

The Internet of Everything is a global industry phenomenon, which brings together people, process, data, and things to make networked connections more relevant and valuable than ever before. Cisco Internet of Everything (IoE) Innovation Centres are located around the world and are aimed at catalyzing and showcasing local IoE innovation and development.

About Cisco IoE Innovation Centre Australia

Cisco IoE Innovation Centre Australia helps local and global organisations improve business outcomes. As an innovation centre and workplace for customers, partners, startups, universities and open communities, we're doing this in three ways:

  • Demonstrating IoE in action to solve business and public sector problems
  • Engaging in rapid solution and product prototyping
  • Research and investments in local resources, including companies and people

Together with our ecosystem, we provide access to technology expertise, development equipment, investment funds, joint marketing, and rapid prototyping.

Working with Cisco, our customers can take full advantage of the infrastructure they have and introduce new capabilities and technology solutions as needed.

Australia is one of the countries with the greatest potential to benefit from IoE, thanks to its proximity to Asia, its well-trained engineers and its innovation power.

Curtin University has been a major player in the development of Australia's capability underpinning the SKA and has built a broad base of computational and data scientists. We look forward to hosting the lab on our Perth Bentley Campus and working with our partners to help unlock economic and social benefit.

Professor Graeme Wright, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research & Development, Curtin University

Sirca's involvement in the Centre is an important opportunity to work with global leaders such as Cisco, as well as other partners to develop solutions for the knowledge economy. We have a proven track record in handling very large data sets and providing data analysis for organizations to enable better visibility and decision support.

Dr. Michael Briers, CEO Sirca

By 2050 we will need to double the amount of food produced to feed the world's growing population whilst at the same time having access to less land, half the amount of fresh water, increasingly expensive fertilizer and unprecedented changes in climate. Technology, particularly the IoT, is seen as a potential solution to this urgent challenge. As a member of the Centre, our aim is to combine Australia's strengths in agriculture with technology innovation, to make Australia the epicenter for IoT R&D in agriculture.
