Problem Description

When performing a clean install of the Subscriber Manager (SM) version 3.5.0, the internal configuration file required by the RADIUS Listener (rpi.ini) is not loaded properly. Several features rely on the information stored in this internal file, such as, RADIUS Listener package association and property monitoring. These features do not work after performing a clean install as the configuration cannot be loaded.

This does not happen when the SM is upgraded from an earlier version to version 3.5.0, since the required internal configuration file already resides in the ~pcube/sm/server/root folder.

Background

For a new Subscriber Manager v3.5.0 installation, a configuration file required for the RADIUS Listener (rpi.ini) is not loaded properly.

Problem Symptoms

As the Radius Listener doesn't initialize properly, following error message shows up:

New configuration was not applied due to the following errors: 
Error - Missing mandatory property property_name in section [Radius.Property.AggregationObjectID]. 
Error - Missing mandatory property property_type in section [Radius.Property.AggregationObjectID].

1. Create rpi.ini file under sm root:

~pcube/sm/server/root/

2. Copy the below configuration to the rpi.ini file:

3. Load the SM configuration with the p3sm command:

Solution

Upgrade to a newer version once open referred DDTS is fixed.
