Problem Description
Some of the1240 mounting tabs appeared to flat (see Figure 1).

All 4 tabs should be angled about 5 degrees for proper and easier mounting of the AP to the bracket (see Figure 2).

Background
While inspecting new RoHS plating, engineering noticed that the tabs on the mounting bracket were being fabricated under the specified angle. This periodically caused mating issues when the AP was mounted to the bracket.
About the same time, marketing received a couple customer comments regarding issues they had mounting the AP to the bracket. Customers noted the same problem with getting the AP onto the bracket. It was found that the tabs on the brackets did not have a lead-in angle.
We also found some customers were trying to mount the bracket to the AP while both were un-mounted. In this instance only, customers were reminded that due to the stiff engagement between the two parts, it is suggested that the bracket be fastened to its mounting surface, such as a wall or ceiling, before mounting the AP. This gives the installer some leverage to depress the detent dimples that hold the AP in place when locking features are not used.
Problem Symptoms
It is difficult to mount the AP bracket.
