Problem Description
Cisco has discovered a manufacturing software problem on the Cisco NM-AIR-WLC6-K9. Some units shipped before January 27, 2006 were loaded with incorrect software required for proper operation of the module.
Background
This issue has been linked to a manufacturing software up-loading problem for a particular set of Cisco NM-AIR-WLC6-K9, shipped before January 27, 2006.
The root cause was identified and processes have been corrected and applied.
Problem Symptoms
The symptom is seen when displaying the show version command.

Workaround/Solution
Cisco recommends a fix-on-fail strategy for this problem.
As of January 28, 2006 products obtained directly from manufacturing are guaranteed to be free of this problem. Manufacturing has known-good inventory at this time. The standard RMA process and delivery times are in effect. RMA the unit through the normal Cisco TAC RMA process as MANUFACTURING NEW.
Special Note
A field upgrade/software upgrade of the module is not an option.
