Introduction
This product bulletin describes the content and delivery information about Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2(13)ZD and should be used in conjunction with the Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2 product bulletin. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(13)ZD is a short-lived early deployment release parented to Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(13), which supports Cisco® 7200 and 7400 series routers using the Cisco Fibre Channel over IP Port Adapter Interface (Cisco product number PA-FC-1G). This release contains all new features delivered in Cisco IOS Software from releases 12.2 to 12.2(13).
New Features in Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(13)ZD
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(13)ZD provides initial support for the Cisco Fibre Channel over IP Port Adapter Interface, including new command-line interface (CLI) commands specific to implementing Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP).
Important: Any early deployment software release should be tested before being deployed in a production network.
Detailed Information
Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(13)ZD is a short-lived early deployment release designed to support the Cisco Fibre Channel over IP Port Adapter Interface on Cisco 7200 and 7400 series routers. This release enables the Cisco 7401 Application Specific Router and the Cisco 7200 NPE-400 and NSE-1 network processor engines to recognize and configure the Cisco Fibre Channel over IP Port Adapter Interface.
