Cisco IOS X-Release 12.2(1)XS
Introduction
This Product Bulletin describes the content and delivery information concerning Cisco IOS(TM) software release 12.2(1)XS. 12.2(1)XS is a short lived Early Deployment (ED) release derived from 12.2(1) and supporting the Cisco AS5800 platform. This release contains the same features as in 12.2(1) plus bug fixes.
The XS release is a AS5800 dial only release targeted at addressing the stability issues seen in 12.2(1) to 12.2(1c) seen by several customers. The number of bug fixes going into this branch is very limited and support for this branch will continue until the current targeting exit release 12.2(7) is available on CCO. At 12.2(7) CCO, support for the 12.2(1)XS branch will be terminated and all AS5800 12.2 support will be focused on the 12.2 mainline ONLY.
No AS5800 support will be available on releases 12.2(1) to 12.2(5) since these releases are deferred for the AS5800 platform.
The fixes delivered with this ED release will be immediately incorporated into Cisco IOS 12.2(7) and subsequent Cisco IOS 12.2 releases. It is important to note that there are no planned maintenance releases for this ED release. In addition, please note the migration path to the latest 12.2 release. Customers should prepare to upgrade using this migration path.

The feature content of 12.2(1)XS is identical to that of 12.2(1).
