A.Creating RAID Arrays on the NSS2050
The NSS2050 supports JBOD, RAID1 and RAID0.
Step 1:
Access the web interface of the NSS2050. For instructions on how to access the web interface, click here.Step 2:
Once, logged in click on Storage > RAID.Step 3:
Under the New RAID Device section, check the SATA drives listed.Step 4:
On RAID Level, select the desired RAID level from the drop-down menu.
JBOD ( Just Bunch of Disks) - Linear; treats each drive as a stand-alone disk.
RAID 0 - Bit Striping; Volume stores data in stripes on two or more physical disks. Data in a striped volume is allocated alternately and evenly in stripes to these disks.
RAID 1 - Mirroring; It writes data to two disk simultaneously. It uses fault tolerance driver to simultaneously write the same data to the volume of member on each of two physical disks.Step 5:
Click Add to start creating the array.
