Introduction

Q. Is it possible to change the administrator password of the Linksys NSS?
A.The administrator password should be changed to ensure that only authorized individuals can access the NSS configuration interface. Pressing the Reset button on the NSS chassis will restore the NSS to factory default settings.
Note: "admin" is the default password of the Linksys NSS.
Changing the Administrator Password of the NSS
Step 1:
From the Manager Menu, click Admin then Maintenance.
Step 2:
Enter the current password in the Current Passwordfield.
Step 3:
Enter the new password in both New Password and Confirm Password fields.
Step 4:
Click Update.
String of Characters to be Used in Changing the Password of the NSS
When changing the default "admin" password, create a minimum of 8 characters and have at least 3 of the following:
- A lower case/upper case letters
- Integer (0-9)
- Special characters (! @ # $ % ^ * ~ , . / ?)
