Q. Why does ProtectLink Gateway Email Protection Block an IP Address Again After Removal from the Quick Information List (QIL) Database?
A.- An IP address will be blocked and re-added to the QIL database if it is detected to have spam activity again.
- If an IP caught as a spam source is added to the QIL database in real time, it may stay there from five (5) minutes to twelve (12) hours.
- The duration depends on how frequent it has been added to the database.
