Introduction
This article is one in a series to assist in the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Cisco Small Business products (formerly Linksys Business Series).
Q. Does ProtectLink Gateway Email Protection scan and filter encrypted emails and password-protected files?
A.- The answer is No.
- ProtectLink Gateway Email Protection creates log entries for encrypted emails.
- It inserts the "Unable to Scan" stamp to emails with password-protected attachments.
Note: ProtectLink Gateway does not insert a stamp on signed emails because this would break the signature and TNEF encoded messages. This will then prevent them from being encoded back.
