Q. What can I do if the contact list/user status returns UNAVAILABLE message?
A.Getting an UNAVAILABLE message when trying to retrieve the Contact list on the phone is caused by not properly starting or logging into the SKYPE software installed in the PC, the USB driver or the USB plug is disconnected, and the PC may be in hibernate mode. To resolve this, follow the instructions below.
Getting Started
Step 1:
Check if the base station is connected to your PC's USB port and the PC is not in hibernate mode.Step 2:
Start the SKYPE software and log into your SKYPE account.Step 3:
Start the USB driver by double-clicking the Linksys Cordless Internet Telephony Kit icon located at the lower-right corner of your computer's screen if it is not already started.
Note: Once the USB driver is installed on your PC, the Telephony Kit should start automatically when you start the PC.
Step 4:
Once both the SKYPE and base station are active, the Telephony Kit is ready for use. Your current SKYPE online status should be shown on the handset's display screen.
