Product Substitution

The Cisco IDS 4235 provides up to a 50 percent improvement in performance over the Cisco IDS 4230 at a lower price. In addition, the Cisco IDS 4235 has a one-rack-unit chassis and can be positioned in gigabit environments because it supports a 10/100/1000 sniffing interface.
