Cisco 1548 Series Micro Switch 10/100

The Cisco 1548 series Micro Switch products are affordable autosensing 10/100 Fast Ethernet switches for creating high-performance LANs in enterprise remote branch offices or small and growing businesses. For customers whose bandwidth requirements have outgrown their legacy 10BaseT networks, the eight-port Cisco 1548M and Cisco 1548U switches offer dedicated 10/100 Autosensing Fast Ethernet connections, ideal for aggregating workgroups or connecting Ethernet and Fast Ethernet desktops.

The Cisco 1548M switch provides the most powerful and cost-effective Fast Ethernet solution in its class. Embedded Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Remote Monitoring (RMON) capabilities provide management, monitoring, and analysis. A Web-based management interface common to most Cisco stackable LAN products allows network managers to manage a switch from anywhere on the Internet through a standard Web browser. The Cisco 1548M Micro Switch 10/100 also supports four port-based VLANs for enhanced performance, management, and security. And, because management functionality is embedded within the Cisco 1548M, there is no need to purchase additional management modules.

The Cisco 1548U delivers dedicated 10/100 autosensing Fast Ethernet in an extremely affordable solution. For customers who want to deploy new bandwidth intensive applications but don't require management, the Cisco 1548U Micro Switch 10/100 is ideal.

An internal power supply provides single, compact design without external connections or devices.
Autosensing on each port detects the speed of the attached device and automatically configures the port for 10- or 100-Mbps operation, easing the deployment of the switch in mixed 10 and 100BaseT environments.
Autonegotiating on all ports automatically selects half- or full-duplex transmission mode to optimize bandwidth.
Extensive per-port LEDs for power, port status, and speed and duplex mode indication provide easy and comprehensive visual management.
ConfigMaker management software common to all Cisco Networked Office products allows for easy configuration and deployment of an entire stack of Cisco products.

Single Vendor Solution and Support

Warranty includes return to factory for free repair as long as you own the product. Power supply and fan are covered for first five years of ownership.
