End-of-Sales Announcement for Cisco LightStream 1010 Software Based on Cisco IOS Release 11.1

Cisco Systems is announcing the end of sales for Cisco LightStream® 1010 software that is based on Cisco IOS Release 11.1. This announcement became effective 4/1/98.

Cisco has released later software for the Cisco LightStream 1010 switch that is based upon Cisco IOS Releases 11.2 and 11.3. No further maintenance releases will be issued based upon the 11.1 IOS code.

Older software images will continue to be available on CCO and can be downloaded as required.

Cisco will continue to provide support for these releases through the SMARTnet service program. Customers with SMARTnet service contracts are entitled to 24-hour phone support through the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and advance replacement of hardware. Cisco is committed to supporting these systems for a period of five years after the End-of-Life announcement.
