Cisco Announces the End-of-Sale of the
Network Port Modules (NPM) for the Cisco 4x00 Series Modular Access Routers
Effective November 30, 2001, the Cisco will discontinue sales of the Network Port Modules supported on the Cisco 4000-M, 4500/4500-M and 4700/4700-M routers. This follows the End-of-Sales (EoS) of the Cisco 4500-M and 4700-M routers that occurred in November, 2000.
The complete list of Network Port Modules affected by this End-of-Life (EoL) announcement is included in Table 1 below. Cisco 4x00 Series Network Port Modules product names and suggested replacement interfaces for Cisco 3600 and 7200 Series platforms are also noted below.
