End of Life Announcement for
OC48ELR 200GHz Optical Cards for Cisco ONS 15454

This product bulletin serves as formal notification that the circuit packs listed in Table 1 for the ONS 15454 multiservice provisioning platform will reach their End of Life stages according to the dates outlined in Table 2.

Backward Compatibility

•Equipment Functionality—The OC48 ELR 100GHz optics card is functionally equivalent to the EoL product (OC48 ELR 200GHz) with the additional capability of providing a laser source stabilized to support 100GHz wavelength accuracy. This laser stability enables support for up to 32 wavelengths over a single fiber. The OC48 ELR 100GHz optics cards can be used with deployed 200GHz compatible optical filter solutions, including the ONS 15216 platform (terminal multiplexer/demultiplexers, optical add/drop multiplexers, and optical amplifiers).

•Software Support—The OC48 ELR 100GHz optics card will operate with all ONS 15454 releases of system software presently supporting the EoL OC48ELR 200GHz optics cards.
