End of Life Announcement for the Cisco ONS15454 NEBS3 Shelf Assembly (15454-SA-NEBS3)

The Product Bulletin serves as formal notification that the Cisco ONS15454 NEBS3 Shelf Assembly will reach its End of Sales and End of Life Milestones on the dates listed in the table below. End of Sales is effective immediately and orders that are in house will be filled by early to mid-June. The 15454-SA-NEBS3E will begin shipping once orders for the 15454-SA-NEBS3 are filled.

End of Life (EOL)	June 9, 2000	Manufacture Discontinued. The product is no longer in production.

The new NEBS3E Shelf Assembly will be the replacement product. It became available to order on May 5, 2000. This new Shelf Assembly offers cosmetic changes including branding/name changes as well as fiber management enhancements. The fiber management enhancements are reels on the side of the cabinet for wrapping fiber (proper bend radius is maintained) and a fan tray that can be removed for maintenance and filter replacement without disturbing the fiber management on the front of the shelf. These are the major differences between the two shelf assemblies. Other changes are minor in nature.

Please note that the Fan Tray Assembly (15454-FTA) will not be going EOL. The Fan Tray Assemblies are not interchangeable between the two Shelf Assemblies so the 15454-FTA will still be available for spares and replacements on currently deployed 15454-SA-NEBS3s.
