End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the TCC-I Card and Software Release 3.x.x for the ONS 15454 SDH MSPP
Cisco Systems® announces the end of life of the timing communication and control international (TCC-I) processor card for the Cisco® ONS 15454 SDH Multiservice Provisioning Platform (MSPP), and of Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Software releases 3.3, 3.4.0, and 3.4.1. The last day to order the Cisco TCC-I processor card and these software items is October 1, 2003. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until October 1, 2008. Table 1 below describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco TCC-I processor card and for Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Software Release 3.x.x software parts. Table 2 outlines the Cisco product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco ONS 15454E-TCC2 timing communication and control processor card, which provides enhanced Cisco ONS 15454 SDH MSPP system performance with increased processor speed, improved network aggregation capability, integrated node voltage monitoring, and improved software download speeds.

The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product. The extension or renewal period cannot extend beyond the last date of support.

Product Migration Options
The replacement for the Cisco TCC-I processor card is the Cisco TCC2 processor card (Table 3). The Cisco TCC2 processor card provides enhanced Cisco ONS 15454 SDH MSPP system performance with increased processor speed, improved network aggregation capability, integrated node voltage monitoring, and improved software download speeds, at a cost point equivalent to the Cisco TCC-I processor card.

In-service processor upgrade from the Cisco TCC-I processor card to the Cisco TCC2 processor card is supported using Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Software Release 4.0.0 as a transition software load. Processor upgrade procedures are included in the Cisco ONS 15454 SDH Software Release 4.0.0 user documentation.
An upgrade program to the Cisco TCC2 processor card is available to existing Cisco TCC-I processor card customers.
