Bus and Tag Channel Interface Processor End of Sales Announcement
Components for the bus and tag Channel Interface Processor (CIP) modules (product codes CX-CIP2-PCA1, CX-CIP2-PCA2, and CX-CIP2-ECAP1) have now been depleted. Therefore, Cisco is announcing the End of Sales (EOS) for these products, effective immediately. Existing Cisco customers with these products will continue to receive Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and RMA support for a period of five years. The Enterprise System Connection (ESCON) versions of the CIP (product codes CX-CIP2-ECA1 and CX-CIP2-ECA2) are not affected and continue to be available.

Definitions
The following definitions apply to these milestones:
- End of SalesæAfter this milestone date, orders for the CX-CIP2-PCA1, CX-CIP2-PCA2, and CX-CIP2-ECAP1 modules will no longer be accepted.
- End of EngineeringæAfter this milestone date, there will be no additional hardware or software bug fixes for these modules.
- Discontinue Contracts RenewalæAfter this milestone date, no maintenance contracts will be renewed for these modules.
- End of support/End of LifeæAfter this milestone date, the modules will no longer be supported by CSE/TAC.
