Cisco CTE 1400 Series Content
Transformation Engine Product Modularization
Overview
The original Cisco CTE 1400 Series Content Transformation Engine was a standalone product for performing Web content reformatting and transcoding (together known as "content transformation") for any device. To address the needs of specific customers, Cisco is introducing several changes in product packaging.
The new Cisco CTE 1400 Series comprises the base CTE 1400, which includes the hardware appliance and a license to perform transformation to voice Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Cisco IP Phones. Four additional software licenses have been added to the series.
The advantage to the new system is that entry pricing is low and customers can easily upgrade the CTE to full functionality and device support. Combined with a simple, easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) and the ability to scale to hundreds of content transformation engines with Cisco content switches, customers can easily experiment with different applications until they find one that fits and then scale that application to support multiple devices and tens to hundreds of thousands of users.

You will be assigned a temporary instance on a Cisco CTE 1400 that is connected to the Internet, and you can perform transformation to either emulators or real devices on anything that is accessible over the Internet. This is an ideal way to get experience with the productfor a customer, a demo, or your own information.
