Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Select Cisco Video Surveillance Platforms. The last day to order the affected product(s) is October 9, 2010. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new Cisco Video Surveillance multiservices platforms, updated Cisco Stream Manager software releases, and refined Cisco Video Surveillance Storage System options. Except in rare cases noted below, direct replacement products are available for all legacy hardware platforms. Customers are encouraged to follow the migration plan in Table 2. Data sheets,product pages,and other information about these products can be found at the included link. Q. Which Cisco Video Surveillance product line does this announcement affect? A. The platforms contained within this announcement are legacy platforms used with the Cisco Video Surveillance Manager product suite and legacy software options associated with both the Cisco Video Surveillance Manager product suite and Cisco Stream Manager product suite. Q. Are any Cisco Video Surveillance Storage System products still available? A. Yes. This action reduces the number of available configurations for Cisco Video Surveillance Storage Systems; however,several options are still available in our product portfolio. Q. How does this end-of-sale of the Cisco Stream Manager affect my future orders? A. All currently shipping Cisco Stream Manager product suites will ship with the most current major software revision. This action will have no effect on any future orders. Q. Where can I get more information on these products? A. Additional information about the replacement products can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/go/videosurveillance.
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Program (TMP) to trade-in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, customers should work with their Cisco Partner or Cisco account team. Customers may be able to continue to purchase the Select Cisco Video Surveillance Platforms through the Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units may be available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis until the Last Date of Support has been reached. Service prices for Cisco products are subject to change after the product End of Sale date.
