EOL/EOS for the Cisco ProtectLink Gateway Incremental 5- and 25-Seat One-Year Licences and Renewals [Cisco ProtectLink Security]

Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco ProtectLink Gateway Incremental 5- and 25-Seat One-Year Licences and Renewals. The last day to order the affected product(s) is July 10, 2010. Customers will continue to receive phone support from the Cisco Small Business Support Center (SBSC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active product warranties, support will be available as stated in the product warranty terms and conditions, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1.

Product Migration Options

The products for the Cisco ProtectLink Gateway portfolio have been updated. Customers can now select from either Cisco ProtectLink Web or Cisco ProtectLink Gateway. ProtectLink Web provides unlimited Web-threat protection and URL filtering. ProtectLink Gateway provides unlimited Web security along with either 25 or 100 seats of e-mail security. These new products are non-incremental, so customers that require 30 seats will need to purchase the 100-seat license. They cannot purchase two 25-seat licenses and combine them. Offerings for both ProtectLink Web and ProtectLink Gateway are now available for one-year and three-year subscription periods.
