INTRODUCTION
This Product Bulletin covers the issues associated with a change of product part numbers for the Cisco® Secure Intrusion Detection System. This part number change is effective January 26, 2000.
RATIONALE
The part numbering scheme is being changed to reflect:
1.
The product name change from NetRanger to the Cisco Secure Intrusion Detection System.
2.
The change from PII-400 to PIII-600 CPUs due to component end-of-life and the addition of more RAM.
