Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco Catalyst 2948G-GE-TX Switch. The last day to order the affected product is January 30, 2007. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until January 29, 2012. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco Catalyst 3560G-48TS and Catalyst 2960G-48TC Switches. Table 2 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement products.
