Overview
Cisco is announcing Cisco IOS® Software for the new Cisco Catalyst® 2360 Series Switches with LAN Lite software. The Cisco Catalyst 2360 Series LAN Lite switch is a fixed-configuration top-of-rack Ethernet switch with Gigabit Ethernet downlink connectivity and 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplink connectivity, enabling high-speed Layer 2 server aggregation in the data center. The Cisco Catalyst 2360 Series LAN Lite switch offers high availability with power and cooling redundancy, making it ideal for the data center.
Table 1 shows the Cisco Catalyst 2360 Series LAN Lite switch specifications.

This product bulletin provides content and delivery information for Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(53)EY, which is the first Cisco IOS Software release that provides support for the Cisco Catalyst 2360 Series LAN Lite switch. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(53)EY is an early deployment release based on Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(53)SE. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(53)EY should not be used for any switch other than the Cisco Catalyst 2360 Series LAN Lite switch.
The platform and features delivered with Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(53)EY will be incorporated into Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(56)SE or 12.2(58)SE and subsequent Cisco IOS Software 12.2SE releases. Note that there are no planned maintenance releases for this release. Also note the migration path to the latest Cisco IOS Software 12.2SE release (Figure 1). Customers should prepare to upgrade using this migration path.

This release contains most the features found in the LAN Lite Image feature set of Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(53)SE.
