EoS/EoL Announcement for the Cisco 7505 Series Router Chassis [Cisco 7500 Series Routers]

END-OF-LIFE NOTICE, NO. 2362

Cisco Systems® announces the end of life of the Cisco® 7505 Series Router chassis. Note: This end-of-life announcement does not affect the Cisco 7507 (CHAS-7507) *, 7513 (CHAS-7513)* chassis and their associated bundles. The Cisco 7507 and 7513 will remain orderable. The last day to order the Cisco 7505 is June 30, 2004. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until June 30, 2009. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco 7505. Table 2 lists the part numbers for affected products.

Customers are encouraged to migrate to Cisco 7200 VXR Series Router or Cisco 7304 Series Router. The Cisco 7200 VXR and Cisco 7304 Series help protect investments. Port adapters on the Cisco 7500 may be used on the Cisco 7200 VXR and Cisco 7304 Series.

End-of-life announcement date	The date the document that announces the end of sale and end of life of a product is distributed to the general public.	December 31, 2003
End-of-sale date	The last date to order the product through Cisco point-of-sale mechanisms. The product is no longer for sale after this date.	June 30, 2004
Last shipment date	The last-possible ship date that can be requested of Cisco and/or its contract manufacturers. Actual ship date is dependent on lead time.	September 31, 2004
End of software maintenance releases date	The last date that Cisco Engineering may release any final software maintenance releases or bug fixes. After this date, Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain, or test the product software.	June 30, 2005
End of routine failure analysis date	The last-possible date a routine failure analysis may be performed to determine the cause of product failure or defect.	June 30, 2005
End of new service attachment date	For equipment and software that is not covered by a service-and-support contract, this is the last date to order a new service-and-support contract or add the equipment and/or software to an existing service-and-support contract.	June 30, 2005
End of service contract renewal date	The last date to extend or renew a service contract for the product.	March 30, 2009
Last date of support	The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.	June 30, 2009
