Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco AIM-VPN-II Modules. The last day to order the affected product is December 22, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until December 22, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement product.

The recommended replacement for the Cisco AIM-VPN-II Module is the AIM-VPN-II-PLUS Module (Table 3). The AIM-VPN-II-PLUS Module provides all the Security features and benefits of the Cisco AIM-VPN-II Module at the same list price but with added performance for AES 192 and 256 keys
