Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® 10720 intermediate reach (IR) and long reach versions 1 and 2 (LR1 and LR2) of the dual-mode packet over SONET/SDH (POS)/Dynamic Packet Transport (DPT) cards. The last day to order the affected product is April 30, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until April 30, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

There is no replacement product at this time. Note that the short-reach (SR) version of this card will continue to be available, and this card can still be used with an optical regenerator to attain longer reaches.
