Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco® ONS 15454 Timing, Communications, and Control - v2 (TCC2) Card. The last day to order the affected product is November 15, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until November 15, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 and Table 3 list the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco ONS 15454 Timing, Communications, and Control v2-Plus (TCC2P) Card that provides a secure-mode network option and additional system timing option. Table 4 provides relevant information for migrating to the replacement product.

The recommended replacement for the Cisco ONS 15454 Timing, Communications, and Control - v2 (TCC2) Card is the Cisco ONS 15454 Timing, Communications, and Control v2-Plus (TCC2P) Card. This new card includes additional capabilities as outlined in Table 4.
