Introduction
This Product Bulletin describes the content and delivery information concerning Cisco IOS(TM) software release 12.2(15)CZ. It should be used in conjunction with Product Bulletin titled, Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2BC (noted below). 12.2(15)CZ is a short lived Early Deployment (ED) release parented to 12.2(15)BC2 and supporting the Cisco cva120, ubr905 and ubr925 platforms]. This release contains all new features delivered in 12.2BC up to 12.2(15)BC2.
The platform and features delivered with this ED release will be incorporated into Cisco IOS 12.3BC. It is important to note that there are no planned maintenance releases for this ED release. In addition, please note the migration path to the latest 12.3BC release. Customers should prepare to upgrade using this migration path

Detailed Information
DOCSIS 1.1 Support for IOS Cable Modems
DOCSIS 1.1 adds features to Cisco's cable modem routers primarily in the areas of DOCSIS QoS and security. DOCSIS QoS features include dynamic bandwidth assignment and new types of parameter settings included unsolicited grants and committed information rates. The security additions include certificates for cable modems to prevent cloning and theft of service and secure software download which makes sure only images from the original manufacturer are downloaded to the modem.
