Cisco Systems® announces the End-of-Life (EoL) for the Cisco® 4430-B Content Router with part number
CR-4430-B. The last day to order the Cisco 4430-B Content Router is September 1, 2003.
Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until March 1, 2008. Table 1 describes the End-of-Life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco 4430-B Content Router.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco GSS 4480 Global Site Selector. The first release of the Cisco GSS 4480 Global Site Selector will exclude some features of the Cisco 4430-B Content Router. These features include simulated annealing, Web Cache Communication Protocol (WCCP) support, and the winners database. Customers that need these features should contact Lance McCallum (lmccallu@cisco.com), the Cisco GSS 4480 Product Manager.
This End-of-Life does not affect any other Cisco Content Routers. The CR-4430 will continue to be sold.
