Cisco® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco WAE-7326 Wide Area Application Engine, 80-GB WAE-512 hard-disk drive, and 512-MB WAE-511 memory module. The last day to order the affected product(s) is December 11, 2008. This announcement applies to customers using any of these products with either the Cisco WAAS or Cisco ACNS software products. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in Table 1. Cisco reserves the right to increase the prices for support for the end-of-sale/end-of-life products mentioned in this announcement at any time. New pricing will apply to all service contracts that are renewed after December 11, 2008

Product Migration Options
The Cisco WAE-7341 Appliance is the recommended replacement for the Cisco WAE-7326 Wide Area Application Engine, whether customers are running the Cisco WAAS software or the Cisco ACNS software. Customers looking for a replacement to the 80-GB WAE-512 hard disk drive are encouraged to migrate to the 250-GB hard-disk drive option compatible with the WAE-512 model. Customers looking for adding an extra 512MB Memory to their existing WAE-511 to get to a total of 1GB of Memory are recommended to consider migrating to the WAE-512 which comes with a minimum of 1GB . Customers may be able to continue to purchase the Cisco WAE-7326 Wide Area Application Engine, 80-GB WAE-512 hard-disk drive, and 512-MB WAE-511 memory module through the Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment program. Refurbished units may be available in limited supply for sale in certain countries on a first-come, first-served basis until the Last Date of Support has been reached.
