Cisco TelePresence Server

Why a web browser stops working with a TelePresence Server

 Feedback

My web browser suddenly stopped working with my TelePresence Server. Why?

This may happen if the http/https service is disabled on the TelePresence Server. To enable the HTTP or HTTPS services you must use the serial console as you won't be able to reach it via the web interface:

  1. Connect to the TelePresence Server via the serial console.
  2. Enter the command service show to see which services are enabled.
  3. If the HTTP service is not enabled, enter service 0 http enable to enable http on Port A. (Similarly for https, enter service 0 https enable.)
  4. Restart the TelePresence Server.

Once you have http/s connectivity to the TelePresence Server, you can use the web interface to modify the active services and ports:

  • Log in to the TelePresence Server and go to Network > Services.
  • Check/uncheck the boxes next to the service names and edit the port numbers if necessary.
  • Click Apply changes.

See the online help topic Configuring IP services for more information.
