Providing Wi-Fi Across an Entire Campus

Technical University Wildau, a leading university of applied sciences in Germany, wanted to give its students access to its educational resources wherever they were.

Challenge

Wildau sought to deploy a wireless network for the entire campus. It wanted a highly secure environment for data, voice, voice over IP, chatting, and video conferencing. And it wanted to distinguish itself from the other 240 universities of applied sciences in Germany.

Solution

The 802.11 ac network is enhanced with Cisco CleanAir Technology, which mitigates interference, and the Cisco High Density Experience (HDX), which maintains an exceptional user experience.

Results

With pervasive Wi-Fi, students can access the Internet and data on campus. Improved mobility allows them to log in through a VPN connection and gain access to the online library and learning platform.
